Let’s be real — There are days when it’s hard to get out of bed. You may feel discouraged, lonely, overwhelmed or simply in a funk. We’ve all been there – You’re not alone. It’s inevitable and it will happen, one day or another. Yet, through experience, I’ve noticed there are simple ways (like… super simple!) to overcome those temporary feelings. You may laugh at some, yet I promise if you do these you will notice how your day shifts for the better!
I’m sharing these tips because you are WORTH it and this world needs you! Let’s do this!
Rinse off your yesterday – Shower: Showering is a simple way to renew, refresh and to put our best foot forward. When you look your best, you feel your best! And when you feel your best, your self-talk is usually positive. Many times our feelings are due to the quality of our thoughts, so let’s make those thoughts sound a little something like this — “DANG – You’re lookin’ good today!” Ya feel me?
Start with a clean slate – Make your bed: Sounds silly, right? I promise you – This is important! When you make your bed, you’re starting your day off to a great start. You’ve just checked off the first thing on your to-do list, which makes you feel eager to check more off throughout the day. Trust me, give this one a try!
Give yourself time – Regroup in silence: Whether this is for a few minutes before you head to work, during a lunch break or in your car before you head into a meeting — Spend some time alone. We often think time alone doing nothing will be counter-productive, when it’s actually necessary to reboot, re-energize and to clear the mind. Take some deep breaths. Just be. You’ll be thankful you did.
Feel lucky- Write down the positives: Whether these positives are family members, your other half or your most treasured friends. The roof over your head, your fridge full of food or a bed to sleep in. Write them down on a piece of paper. This simple task puts things into perspective and reminds us that we are oh-so blessed- in big ways or small.
Use your universal language – Smile: Really, Becca? Smile? YEP! : ) Even if you have to fake it – Try it. Try to smile at a stranger or a coworker. Just give it a go. That timid smile will turn into a real smile, you’ll receive one back, and then you’ll slowly start to feel happier.
I hope these simple tips help lift you up when you’re feeling down! Remember, there’s always sunshine after the rain – Stay strong! You’re worth it!
xx – Bec

With havin so much written content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright violation? My site has a lot of unique content I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my authorization. Do you know any techniques to help prevent content from being ripped off? I’d genuinely appreciate it.
