“Like wildflowers; You must allow yourself to grow in all the places people thought you never would.”
It doesn’t matter what stage or season of life you’re in – there is always an opportunity to grow, to learn and to bloom into the person you want to become.
(Devils Den, Arkansas)
To think, these wildflowers might’ve not bloomed as tall or vibrant if they were growing in a garden rather than on this rock. A rock might not seem like a place capable of nurturing growth, but look – these flowers are the first to get touched by the sun and the first to quench their thirst when it rains. They don’t get stepped on by hikers or flooded by storms. They’re thriving in a place nobody would ever expect.
Let’s be like wildflowers. Life can get messy. If the garden-life you hoped to be living isn’t where you are right now, that’s okay. No need to worry (Luke 12:25). You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.
If you’re laying at a rock bottom in some aspect of your life, look up to the sun. Look around you. This is an opportunity to grow, to adapt and to change for the better. Be like a wildflower. Who knows, maybe amongst these rocks is where you’re going to bloom the brightest.
My life is in no way a garden-life and these little yellow wildflowers inspired me. Hope they bring happiness and peace to you, too!
Happy weekend, friends!
XO,
Rebecca
